Help Protect Your Home Against Hurricanes
Roofs to Go Inc is a proud partner of the My Safe Florida Home Program, a program designed to provide free hurricane inspections and home upgrades that strengthen your home against hurricane damage.
If you own a site-built single-family residential house or townhouse, you can apply for a free hurricane inspection - no cost or obligation! This report will show the strength of you home against hurricanes and list improvements that could improve that strength.
When recommended by your inspection, program grant money is available for strengthening home improvements.
Home Strengthening Improvements
When you receive your free hurricane inspection report, you are eligible for grant money for the following improvements to strengthen your home.
Roof and Structure
- Upgrade roof covering
- Improve strength of roof deck attachments
- Reinforce roof-to-wall connections
- Install secondary wall resistance for the roof
Openings
- Window upgrades
- Exterior door upgrades
- Garage door upgrades
Purchase and Insurance Savings
The My Safe Florida Home Program is designed to protect your home against hurricanes and save you money!
- You may be eligible to apply for a matching grant. For every $1 you provide, the state will provide $2 toward the actual cost of an actual mitigation project (or 2/3s of the project cost up to $10,000).
- NO state sales tax (6%) on retail purchases of impact-resistant doors, impact-resistant garage doors and impact-resistant windows from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024.
- Potentially lower your home insurance premiums by participating in the program.
